/ HOUSE OF COMPASSION

MATTHEW 9.36: Seeing the crowd, Jesus was moved with compassion for her, because she was languishing and downcast, like sheep without a shepherd.

MARK 6:34: Jesus saw a great crowd, and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.

THE BIRTH OF WORLD VISION CHANGE FOUNDATION (WVCF)

THE BIRTH OF HOPE FOR HOPELESS

THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST IN ACTION

Introduction Leaving His glory, came down to earth to die so we can live was the ultimate sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, proving His unshakable love for us (John 10:10). Fill with His love, a compassionate couple: Apostle Dr. Gerard Forges and his wife Sr. Jacqueline Forges gave birth to the HOPE FOR HOPELESS HOUSE OF COMPASSION”.

CHAPTER ONE

How did it start? A few months ago, as Dr. Forges was looking through his window he witnessed a shocking scene that disturbed him so heavily: a child browsing into a mountain of garbage seeking for food. As he was watching that child attentively, three more came to the garbage looking for food. Dr. Forges started to cry to the Lord because Mat.18:4-6 tells how much Jesus cares deeply for the children. A father of nine biological children, He knows how crucial it is to feed them. Both he and his wife have dedicated their lives of compassion to better the lives of others. The following day, they were ready to follow the children. This time they were five. With the love of God and His Mighty wisdom, they attracted the children to their Community Church named “Solid Rock”. As they fed the children a hot cooked meal, they obtained more disturbing information about their lives:

HELLO PEOPLE OF GOD! / ACCORDING THE BIBLE - WE ARE ALL SAVE TO SERVED

I JUST WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU WHAT HAPPENING ACTUALLY IN HAITI

Haiti:  IS UNDER AN HUMANITARIAN   CRISES

SITUATION OF CHILDREN IS DISASTER

MANU CHILDREN INVOLVE IN GANGS

POLITICIANS USED THEM AND PUT GUNS IN THEIR HAND TO KILLS

THEY NEED EDUCATION

I WANT TO PROVIDE THEM GOOD BED TO SLEEP

Abandoned children, living under a broken bridge, they have learned how to survive on a daily basis by:

• Begging for money

• Robbing anyone they can

• Becoming executor for criminals

• Selling their bodies

• Living a life with very poor hygiene

• Some of them walk miles and miles begging for money to feed their siblings: (one 8 year old has to feed 4 siblings).

• They have never been to school.

• They have been to a Dr. since they were babies

• Those dearest children have been living the most horrible experiences that many adults have never encountered.

• Many sleep where the pigs and other animals sleep.

CHAPTER TWO

First immediate solution: In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus told the disciples: “Feed the crowd (Luke 9:13)”. The couple Forges did not waste any time; the following day, they started the hot meal lunch program for those children who knew about it (From 150 to 300 children daily). As a responsible leader, Dr. Forges sent a couple of inspectors to investigate the area where the children lived: horrible site for even animals to live. Dr. Forges and his wife do not make any decision without consulting the Holy Spirit. After intense prayers, the couple Forges, with the help of their Solid Roc Community Church, decided to give a home to those children. More than 150 of them came to the program. Pappy Forges and his wife Mammie Forges could only start caring for only 40 children. The older boys are placed in the church quarters, the girls and the younger boys are living in the Forges's private home. What a sacrifice. Living by faith, they gave the load to Jesus.

CHAPTER THREE

Knowing the Gospel of Christ, they realized that: “Man does not live by bread alone, but from every word that comes out of the mouth of God” Mat. 4:4. Those children needed more than food to turn their lives around. It is also important for one to understand the quality of Gospel that is being preached at “Solid Roc Community Church”. This is the modern version of the Antioch church of the apostles. Pappy Forges and his wife, Mammie have been instilling in their assembly the joy of serving each other. (Saved to serve) The saints of the church value the authority of Pappy Forges. Therefore, it was not difficult to obtain their collaboration in caring for the children. Many youths volunteered their time taking turn to care for the children; some are transferring their knowledge to them; some teach them the rules of discipline. Most of all, they are learning the Gospel of Christ and how to serve the living God (Rom. 12: 1-2.)

CHAPTER FOUR

Where is the “PAPPY & MANMIE J FORGES HOME OF COMPASSION TODAY? in what level do they care for the children? What a blessed difference between the abandoned children and the beautiful regenerated young souls of God! Jesus have blessed them with a loving home, caring parents, and modest clothes and shoes barely enough, Christian education, a hope of becoming productive citizens of tomorrow. The Responsibility of Pappy and Mammie Forges is becoming heavier and heavier. Although they are caring full time for 43 children; there are still 300 children waiting for a home. The brothers and sisters in the church are helping as much as they can, especially in providing them with foods.

CHAPTER FIVE

What are they lacking?

1. The actual urgent need is a House for them. Pappy and Mammie Forges are seeking help to build a 45 Rooms. We have land

2. They need clothes for males from 4 years old to 16 years of age.

3. Different sizes of shoes for youths for both gender

4. Hygiene supplies: toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, mouthwash, petroleum jelly for hair, hair bows, tights ribbons.

5. Underwear for both genders

6. Helping hands with food supplies.

CONCLUSION

300 more children are still waiting to be rescued from that desperate way of living. We believe we can help them, one child at a time in Jesus name. He just have to lead us to His merciful saints who can open their hearts and hands to help Pappy and Mammie Forges carry the burden. Please see the budget for the year 2019- 2020 for 300 children.
